The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Among the worst people in Allah’s sight on Judgement Day will be the man who makes love to his wife and she to him, and he divulges her secret.” [Sahih Muslim]
In the Quran, Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) has described spouses as garments for each other. Garments beautify as well as clothe the body, covering it, protecting its privacy, shielding it. The more private the matter the more it needs to be guarded from others’ eyes. Among the worst in Allah’s eyes on the Day of Qiyamah will be he who exposes the privacies that had to be guarded.
